Digital gadgets are the most valuable consumer goods in the world.
And, according the latest study, it’s getting cheaper, thanks to digitalization.
The report says digital technology is now becoming the most affordable of all consumer goods, at an average of US$14,000.
The report, titled Digital Electronics: Are You Ready for the Most Affordable and Efficient Consumer Goods, says that the global market for digital gadgets is expected to reach US$3.6 trillion by 2020, compared with US$2.3 trillion in 2020.
That’s a 70% increase.
The growth of digital electronics is driven by a new generation of products that offer digital content, such as gaming consoles, mobile phones and smart home devices, said the report, published by research firm KPMG.
The KPMg report also said that a new digital generation of consumer goods will be launched in 2019.
This new digital era will be defined by its ease of use and accessibility.
It will enable consumers to share and communicate with friends, colleagues, relatives, and businesses, and will provide the most efficient means of consuming and communicating with other people.
