By Arjun Singh, ReutersThe Indian technology company Reliant Electronics, which is one of India’s largest electronics makers, is set to launch a new wave of military-grade electronic products later this year.
The new products, known as Electronic Warfare Products, will be available for sale in India in 2020.
The first products, called M-Band and M-E-Band, will feature a wide range of functions such as communication, communications networks and communications data transmission.
Reliant’s new products are the first of its kind in the Indian market, and they are designed to help India’s army in the fight against insurgents.
“Our military needs to be able to be connected with the battlefield, which means that we need to have the right capabilities to communicate with the army,” said B.K. Khatri, Reliant Technology’s head of manufacturing.
The company has been working on the products since late last year, and is expected to unveil them in the next few months.
The military has been using military-level communications to communicate among different troops in the country’s eastern states.
This includes an Indian Army commando unit, an Indian Air Force unit and an Indian Navy unit, the military has said.
Reliance is also working on a similar product to help the army in fighting insurgents in Pakistan.
The M-band and M (electronic) Warfare products will be sold through Reliant Technologies India Pvt.
Ltd (TRIG), the company said.TRIG’s marketing manager, Ravi Ramesh, said the company was “delighted” to be working with Reliant on the M-Wave products.
“We have worked with Reliance Technologies for several years, and now we have the opportunity to work on products with a long-term vision and a great product quality,” Rameshi said.
“In the last two years, we have seen a huge number of M Wave products developed by Reliant and are looking forward to the launch of the M Wave series in 2020,” Ramehi added.TRIPOLI, LibyaThe Libyan capital Tripoli is known for its oil industry, but the city is now witnessing a major transformation as the world’s biggest oil producer.
