A new survey of consumers from Nielsen Consumer Insight found that while the average household has one or more electronic devices, the majority of them have used just one item.
More than half of respondents reported that they’ve owned one of the following electronic products or have used an electronic product in the past year: computers, tablets, smartphones, digital cameras, TVs, game consoles, and digital cameras.
But while those surveyed reported using only one item, they also reported owning several different types of electronics items.
More and more people are opting for digital technology and electronics in their homes, with a majority of those surveyed saying that they own one or two types of devices.
They also reported using more than one type of electronics item.
Nielsen Consumer Intelligence said that as the digital technology market grows, the number of electronic products that consumers own will likely continue to increase, with the average of one or multiple items.
However, most people said that they only owned one or few of these products.
The majority of respondents who owned at least one electronic product or used an item in the last year said that the item was used by just one person.
